Uruguay joints the Joint Declaration on Chemical Leasing!

In a framework of the Global Chemical Leasing Award Ceremony, the Ambassador H. E. Ms. Maria Elizabeth Bogosian (Alternate Permanent Representative of Uruguay to UNIDO) confirmed the commitment of the Government of Uruguay to join Declaration on Chemical Leasing and embed this business model in Uruguay’s national policies:

On behalf of the Government of Uruguay, its Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we would like to express our gratefulness to the Government of Austria, for the invitation to participate in today´s Award ceremony, successfully, its 5th. Edition.

Likewise, and as a committed and recognized actor in the International Environmental Agenda, we are very proud to adhere and support the 2016 Joint Declaration of Intent on Chemical Leasing, and become a new partner in this initiative, put forward by UNIDO, and the Austrian, German and Swiss Governments.

Global Success Story:

In 2016, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the governments of Austria, Germany and Switzerland signed a Joint Declaration of Intent on Chemical Leasing. Since then, Peru, Serbia, El Salvador and Sri Lanka joined this Initiative. The Declaration aims to increase awareness of Chemical Leasing at the political level and strengthens the cooperation of the partners in global Chemical Leasing promotion.
